PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Florida sophomore Allie Will captured the consolation championship Sunday as the 2010 Riviera/ITA Women’s All American Championships concluded at the Riviera Country Club.
The fifth-ranked Will rallied from a set down to defeat Texas’ 15th-ranked Aeriel Ellis, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1, and improved her career singles record to 51-6.
This is the third collegiate singles championship for Will, who also won the 2009 SEC Coaches Fall Classic Flight A draw, as well as the 2009 ITA Southeast Regional singles crown.
Florida is off until Oct. 22-25 when it participates in the ITA Southeast Regionals at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus in Athens. The top two singles finishers and the doubles winner advance to the ITA National Indoor Championships.
