Obviously wish him the best, and thanks for being a Gator. I do wonder why not give this TE friendly offense a shot though.
A really good solid kid, and from Jax to boot. Thought for sure he was gonna be a nice player for UF, what do I know. He had some big offers coming out of HS. Best wishes to Nick for the future, hope he finds a quality landing spot and thrives.
Hate to see it, especially with our lack of TE depth. I was looking forward to seeing him play over the next few years.
I remember posters here saying he was just as good as Brock bowers when we recruited him. I guess not quite.
IMO, this is another instance of the unavoidable roster purge we've pretty much known is inevitable for some time now. Players who don't fit the position profiles developed by the new staff or have/will be passed over for new HS recruits/incoming transfers, will either see the writing on the wall and leave on their own or be shown the door. It is unfortunate that some very fine young men will not be with us when the 85-man roster is finalized in the Fall of '23. But I'm guessing that at least another twenty or so will be moving on as BN makes room for new blood. It's a tough deal, but it's life in the fast lane of modern CFB and there's just no way around it. I hope that all the guys who will not have a chance to fulfill their aspirations of being major contributors at UF will find success elsewhere.
