Monday starts evaluation period

Monday is a big day for college football as the spring evaluation period starts in recruiting.

The evaluation period means college coaches can hit the road to visit prospects twice until May 31st, when the period ends.

Also during this time college coaches may call junior prospects for the first time, which is big for head coaches who are not able to be on the road recruiting.

Florida will send its coaches to see out of state prospects first because spring football doesn’t start in the state of Florida until May 1st.

You can expect the Gators to be out in full force on Monday as prospects in the states of Tennessee, Illinois, Georgia and North Carolina have said they expect a visit from Florida.

Stay tuned to GatorCountry.com as we will have nightly reports on the coaching staff visits each day during the evaluation period.
