Mann, Castleton garner All-SEC selections

A pair of Florida Gators earned All-SEC honors on Tuesday ahead of the conference tournament. SEC coaches named sophomore guard Tre Mann to the first team and junior forward Colin Castleton to the second team.

Mann is Florida’s leading scorer at 15.0 points per game. He raised his scoring average by 9.7 points per game since his freshman season after scoring just 5.3 in 2019-20. He earned SEC Player of the Week honors on March 1 for his outstanding performances at Auburn and Kentucky.

Castleton was named SEC Player of the Week twice in his first season at Florida. Castleton and Mann are Florida’s leading rebounders at 5.7 per game and Castleton comes in just behind in scoring at 12.7 points per game. Castleton also ran away as the Gators’ top shot blocker with 45 so far this season.

Despite losing Preseason SEC Player of the Year Keyontae Johnson early in the season, Florida managed to put together a 13-8 regular season record and produce multiple All-SEC honorees for the second consecutive season.

The Gators will take on the winner of the Texas A&M-Vanderbilt game to open the SEC Tournament on Thursday. Florida defeated the Commodores twice this season but has yet to face the Aggies due to cancellation.

Before transferring to the University of Florida to study journalism, she played softball at Gulf Coast State College. She then interned for Gator Country for three years as she worked toward her degree. After graduation, Bailiegh decided to explore other opportunities in the world of sports, but all roads led her right back here. In her time away, she and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.
