The 2010-11 men’s and women’s basketball teams will host a season tip-off celebration on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from noon – 1 PM at the University of Florida Reitz Union Amphitheater.
Head Coaches Billy Donovan and Amanda Butler and several Gator student-athletes we be in attendance to boost excitement for the upcoming season. The first 1,000 UF students to arrive will receive a free Florida Basketball t-shirt and the first 500 students will be given free pizza and drinks.
Nike will also unveil the 2010-11 Gator Basketball “RISE UP” t-shirt; the official t-shirt of the men’s basketball team. Shirts will be sold for $18 and can be found in the Gator SportShop and other various locations throughout Gainesville. Fans are encouraged to wear blue to the men’s basketball game versus Ohio State on Tuesday, November 16th at 6pm in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
The men’s basketball team tips off its season on Friday, November 12th versus UNC-Wilmington at 7pm in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The women’s basketball team will take the floor the next day on Saturday, November 13th versus UCF at 4 p.m.
