Will Griffin commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up a quarterback commitment on Saturday when an instate 2026 prospect committed to the Gators.

2026 quarterback Will Griffin (6-3, 225, Tampa, FL. Jesuit) committed to Florida on Saturday after he was on campus with his family earlier in the day.

The Gators are still looking for the quarterback in the 2025 class but getting an early commitment from Griffin was big for Billy Napier and his staff.

Griffin who’s considered a top 10 quarterback in the Class of 2026 is a Florida legacy as his father graduated from Florida.

Last season Griffin completed 68% of his passes while throwing for 3,404 yards and 34 touchdowns in 13 games. Griffin also added 83 yards rushing and another touchdown.

Griffin is very familiar with Florida and the staff in Gainesville but he also a great relationship with quarterback DJ Lagway as he shadowed him for a day in the spring.
