Wiggins confident in his commitment with the Florida Gators

On Saturday afternoon, the Florida Gators had several of their commits in town to watch the team knock off LSU in front of a sold-out Swamp.

Defensive line commit Jalen Wiggins (6-4, 225, Tallahassee, FL. Rickards) was on campus just one week after visiting Notre Dame.

“It was a great performance,” Wiggins said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I’ve always been solid, amazing performance, they set the bar high on defense.”

Wiggins was impressed by the Gators’ defense who forced seven sacks in the game and held a good LSU team in check for most of the game.

“Just defensively and getting after the ball,” he said on what stood out to him about Saturday. “Making stops, making sacks against what some are saying the number one offensive line. Getting everybody to show out.”

After the visit, Wiggins says he needs more time to know for sure where he will sign for college but he feels solid with the Gators.

“Just a little bit more time,” he said on if he knows for sure where he will sign. “I feel really good about everything and I’m confident in my commitment.

One thing that helps the Gators is the environment that Wiggins witnessed on Saturday as the Swamp was loud.

“Never, I’ll be honest the closest I’ve seen is probably Tennessee last year,” Wiggins said on if he has seen the Swamp this loud before. “Honestly I haven’t seen anything last this before, this is the best I’ve seen the Swamp.”

Next up for Wiggins will be a return trip to Gainesville to watch the Gators take on Ole Miss.

“I’ll be back next weekend,” Wiggins said.
