Billy Napier and the Florida Gators have their 2024 quarterback in DJ Lagway and on Saturday they hosted one of their top targets from the 2026 class on campus.
2026 quarterback Logan Rogers (6-2, 190, Tampa, FL. Tampa Bay Tech) was on campus for the Grill in the Ville cookout event and enjoyed the atmosphere in Gainesville.
“It was great, the coaches were great,” Rogers said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “It was like a great competitive atmosphere, great bonding with everyone and they did a great job with everything. I got more personal time with the coaches and got to see them outside of football.”
Rogers was one of just a few 2026 prospects invited to the event and that’s something that the quarterback took notice of.
“It’s great getting into the recruiting process early,” he said on being a young guy invited to the event. “Just being in the facility, getting to know the coaches better is always a good thing. It was fun.”
The 2026 quarterback has a long way to go in his recruitment, but he says he likes several things about the Gators, and he likes how the coaching staff operates.
“I love the coaching staff,” Rogers said on what he likes about Florida. “I love how competitive they’re and how they do things around the building. How intentional they’re with the little things like the details.”
Despite having three years left in high school, Rogers says several schools are recruiting him hard already.
“Definitely Florida, Michigan, FSU, Miami, and Appalachian State,” he said on schools recruiting him hard right now.
