Richard to serve as quality control coach for offensive line

Mike Richard has joined the Gators’ staff as a quality control coach. He will assist offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton and fellow quality control coach Cheston Blackshear.

He worked at Louisiana from 2014-21, which included all four years of the Billy Napier era. During this time, he worked with two NFL Draft picks in Kevin Dotson and Robert Hunt. Additionally, 13 of his players garnered All-Sun Belt honors, and the Ragin’ Cajuns offensive line was named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award three times.

The Carencro, Louisiana, native helped the program win four consecutive Sun Belt West titles and the outright 2021 conference championship.
