Recruiting Reaction to the Florida Gators win over Tennessee

The Florida Gators pulled off a massive win over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday in the Swamp to start conference on a winning note.

Billy Napier and his staff had the team fired up with a great game plan and that propelled the team to a big win in front of dozens of recruits.

Several of the Gators top targets and commits were in the Swamp on Saturday to watch the Gators pull off the upset over the Vols.

GatorCountry brings you a recruiting reaction to the Gators big win over the Vols on Saturday.

Linebacker commit Adarius Hayes- “It’s nothing like the Swamp and honestly the start was rough but when we made adjustments it was rock and roll time. My impression was to beat Tennessee and not give up that many points. It’s a lot of outsiders that are talking down on the Gators and for tonight’s game but the win it was shocking to watch and see them shut some of the negativity down.”

2025 tight Micah Jones- “I was just excited because I knew it was a big game and I had to make the trip down.”

2025 receiver Koby Howard- “Totally surprised by the total domination by the Gators. Much improved from the opening game performance by far. I would have liked to see the Gators throw the ball down field more but other than that great game and nice win for the Gators. They’ve got to continue to get better with the passing game, the running game looks really good, might be the best running game in college football right now.”

2025 receiver Jayvan Boggs-“I loved the game tonight. Amazing atmosphere, I got to have a talk with Coach [Billy] Gonzales and Coach Deck. I loved everything about tonight’s game.”

2025 offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn- “Electric.”

Offensive lineman Kalolo Ta’aga-” They worked hard for this and the results showed on the scoreboard. Well by the Gators.”

Receiver commit TJ Abrams- “Lets Go Gators. I think that running back duo is the best in college football.”

Texas A&M defensive line commit Daelyn Evans- “how about them gators🐊”

Offensive line commit Marcus Mascoll-“ I love to see it. I knew they would come out with the win

Offensive line commit Fletcher Westphal-“Being back in the Swamp was great. The energy was high and so was the expectations. They came out and dominated from the beginning. They were prepared for Tennessee’s fast play, no-huddle play. Coach Napier said there’s more work to be done – the win with Tennessee was the start. It was great sharing the win with my future teammates.”

2025 defensive lineman Javion Hilson-“It was a dog fight, I had a nice experience it was my first time up there I enjoyed myself and love watching the defensive line.”

2025 receiver Naeshaun Montgomery-“My reaction to today’s game was insane the fans had that place rocking…”

2025 defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins-“The atmosphere was great, they played with great energy and intensity to get the win tonight it was a great experience!”

2025 defensive back Hylton Stubbs-“I had a ball the atmosphere was electric. I’m glad Florida was able to get big win like this at home. I had a great time while I was there and I can’t wait to come back.”
