RB Carsyn Baker commits to the Florida Gators over FSU

The Florida Gators continued their run of commitments on Friday when the Gators picked up their 8th commitment of the Class of 2026.

Running back Carsyn Baker (6-1, 195, Fairburn, GA., Langston Hughes) committed to Florida over Florida State and South Carolina.

“Gator Nation I’m home,” Baker wrote on social media.

Baker took an official visit to Gainesville at the end of Ma,y and during that trip, running backs coach Jabbar Juluke impressed him.

“Coach Juluke is a great person, a great coach,” he said of talking with Coach Juluke. “He’s been great with developing backs and everything like that. I felt great on the weekend. Me and Coach Juluke had a great time during our one-on-one sessions, and I learned a lot this weekend from him.”

Billy Napier and Juluke both explained to Baker that the Gators use multiple running backs and that he would fit into the mix at Florida.

“That’s great for me because you know the running back life is basically not long,” he said on Florida rotating backs. “Everything preserving and saving your body is a great thing. At my high school we have a dual also, so they do the same thing that we do in high school.”

Baker joins quarterback Will Griffin, receiver Justin Williams and offensive linemen G’Nivre Carr and Chancellor Campbell as commits on the offensive side of the ball.
