OL Desmond Green commits to the Florida Gators over Georgia

The Florida Gators landed yet another commitment when 2026 offensive lineman Desmond Green pledged to Florida on Thursday.

“Them Gator Boys stay hot,” Green said.

Green, a South Carolina native, is a composite four star and ranks as the 391st overall player in the 2026 class. The 6’4.5, 354 pound offensive lineman held 20 offers including Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida State, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Oregon. Green took an official visit to Florida on June 13th and is scheduled for an official visit to South Carolina this weekend. Green also visited Georgia, Oklahoma, and Virgina Tech.

Green marks the 12th UF commitment in the month of June and the third offensive lineman in the last two days. Green joins Tyler Chukuyem, Chancellor Campbell, G’Nivre Carr, and Javarii Luckas as an offensive lineman in the class.
