Notable weight changes this offseason

The Florida Gators released their 2025 spring football roster on Thursday ahead of their first practice. Gator Country takes a look at some notable weight changes so far this offseason. Florida updated their weights on March 4th of 2025.

OL Kamryn Waites: 343 – 370

After dropping 30 pounds from 2022-2024, redshirt senior offensive lineman Kamryn Waites weighed in at 370 pounds, a 27-pound weight gain from his last listed weight. Standing at 6’8, 370 pounds, Waites is the biggest offensive lineman on the Gators roster. Billy Napier said during Thursday’s press conference that Waites is playing the guard position.

OL Damieon George Jr.: 345 – 362

Sticking with the offensive line, redshirt senior Damieon George Jr. put on 17 pounds. George’s weight of 362 pounds is his heaviest since stepping foot in Gainesville in 2023. Offensive lineman’s weight fluctuate the most during the offseason but look for Waites and George Jr. to cut back this spring and summer.

Redshirt senior Jake Slaughter lost 14 pounds and is now the 2nd lightest scholarship offensive lineman on the Gators weighing in at 294 pounds ahead of spring camp.

OL Devon Manuel: 319 – 307

Redshirt senior offensive tackle Devon Manuel lost 12 pounds this offseason. Manuel is expected to compete at tackle for the Gators this spring.

Aidan Mizell dropped 10 pounds and is down to 176 as of March 4th. Mizell stepped foot on campus at 170 pounds but quickly put on 16 pounds during his first offseason.
