Billy Napier has retained Paul Pasqualoni as part of his staff. Pasqualoni will serve as the director of advanced scouting and self scout.
Pasqualoni, 72, spent the last two years as a special assistant to the head coach. He assumed an on-field role with the defense following the late-season firing of defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.
He was Syracuse’s head coach from 1991-2004. The Orange went 6-3 in bowl games under his watch and only suffered one losing season. He complied a 107-59-1 record and led the program to four Big East championships.
The Cheshire, Connecticut, native also was the head coach at UConn for a little more than two seasons.
Pasqualoni also brought 10 years of NFL assistant coaching experience to Gainesville, including four seasons as a defensive coordinator.
Wow, judging by the extreme hatred hurled at him by so many (I dare you to fess up haters) on GatorCountry after Mullin was let go, this won’t be appreciated or supported by the “fans”.
Arni, I read the public forums quite often on gator country, but I can’t recall any heartburn over Coach Pasqualoni. Maybe this was on the pay side?
