The Florida Gators are in the middle of spring practice and not only is it a big time for the team but also for recruiting purposes as prospects are coming to campus daily.
Two weeks ago, defensive end Tylon Lee (6-4, 245, Milton, FL. Pace) was on campus and he enjoyed getting back around everyone.
“It was great, it was a 10 all the way,” Lee said of his visit to Florida earlier this month. “I love the feel of practice, they have a high motor, they were moving around and stuff. I’m just blessed to be back, I want to come back this summer to get more of a feel of stuff. I like what they have going.”
Lee has kept a close eye on the Gators during his recruitment and he says one of the biggest reasons for that is the way the staff treats him.
“The support they have is a really top thing and everything,” he said on what he likes about Florida. “Coaches, Coach Mike P [Peterson], I have a good relationship with him and stuff. Everything he has with his players is outstanding.”
While on campus, Lee had a chance to meet with outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson who had a message for him.
“Just to keep working hard,” Lee said on the message from Mike P. “Just keep working hard and get better at the little things. The little things matter so just work on that.”
Lee also had a chance to watch practice and watch Peterson’s group and he liked how they were aggressive.
“I seen them getting after it,” he said on what he saw from practice. “Just attacking all day every day, you can’t beat that.”
Next up for Lee will be an official visit this summer to one of Florida’s archrivals and he says he also plans to get back to Gainesville.
“Just Miami,” Lee said on official visits set. “I’m going to come back to Florida, I just don’t know when.”
The Gators do have some ground to make up for Lee though as two other teams are ahead of the Gators at the moment.
“Florida is third on the list,” he said. “Miami, Mississippi State, and Kansas.”
