LB commit Myles Johnson has confidence in the Gators’ defense

Several of commits for the Florida Gators have been in town for several games this year and that continued on Saturday when they were treated to a big win.

Linebacker commit Myles Johnson (6-1, 220, Brewton, AL. T.R. Miller) was on campus again on Saturday and he liked the way the team played as a unit.

“It was amazing, atmosphere was great, and the team played really good,” Johnson said of Florida’s win on Saturday. “The whole unit, it was a complete team win. This was at the top because of the way the team battled the last couple of weeks.”

Johnson says Saturday was the loudest game he has experienced in person, and he knows what the Swamp is supposed to be like now.

“Growing up in Alabama, I didn’t really hear much about the Swamp but when I did hear about it, I knew that it was loud,” he said of the Swamp. “It was the loudest game I’ve been too.”

The Alabama native never wavered in his commitment to Florida despite some struggles and he says Saturday’s performance proved that he trusted the right people.

“It was great, it gives me extreme confidence in them,” Johnson said of the defense. “I knew they had it in them all along and that’s why I put my trust in this team. It just makes me happy to see them prosper like they did.”

Some schools are still keeping in touch with Johnson but he says he’s solid with Florida and plans to sign with the Gators next month.

“I don’t have any planned,” he said on taking visits to other schools. “I plan to be here next weekend.”
