How the Gators fared at the 2025 NFL Combine

The Florida Gators had nine representatives at the 2025 NFL Combine, a significant spike from just two attendees last year. Gator Country takes a look at how the Gators fared at the NFL combine.

WR Chimere Dike

Height: 6’1

Weight: 196

40 yard dash: 4.34

10 yard split: 1.51

Vertical: 38.50″

Broad: 10’8″

3 Cone: 6.82

Shuttle: 4.27

Bench: N/A

Chimere Dike has impressed at every postseason event so far. Starting with a successful weekend at the Hula Bowl, Dike earned an invite to the Senior Bowl and later the NFL Combine. Dike logged the third fastest 40-yard dash among wide receivers at the combine, trailing only Texas’ Matthew Golden and Tennessee’s Dont’e Thornton. The 6’1, 196-pound receiver posted an athleticism score of 87, which ranked 8th among WR’s at the combine, per Next Gen Stats. Dike was given a prospect grade of 6.00, which is described as ‘traits or talent to be above-average backup.’ Dike solidified his chances to be drafted this year with an elite 40-yard dash and likely moved himself up a round or to in the process.

WR Elijhah Badger

Height: 6’1

Weight: 200

40 yard dash: 4.43

10 yard split: 1.53

Vertical: 35.5″

Badger didn’t compete in very many agility events, but did impress with his 4.43 40-yard dash, a good time for a receiver not known for his straight-line speed. Badger’s athleticism score of 76 ranked 22nd among WR’s at the combine. Next Gen Stats gave Badger a prospect grade of 6.18, which is described as a ‘good backup with the potential to develop into a starter’.

RB Montrell Johnson

Height:  5’11

Weight: 212

40 yard dash: 4.41

10 yard split: 1.55

Vertical: 35.5″

Broad: 10’3″

3 Cone: N/A

20 yard shuttle: 4.29

Bench press: N/A

Montrell Johnson posted a great 40-yard dash of 4.41 seconds, which ranked 5th among running backs at the NFL combine. Johnson weighed in at 212 pounds, running the fastest 40-yard dash among running backs at his weight or higher. Johnson also posted the third fastest 20-yard shuttle time of 4.29 seconds. Johnson’s athleticism score of 78 ranked 13th among running backs at the combine while his production score of 52 ranked 31st. Johnson posted a prospect grade of 6.10, which is described as ‘good backup with the potential to develop into a starter.’

OL Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson

Height: 6’7

Weight: 316

40 yard dash: 5.33

10 yard split: 1.87

Vertical: 24.5″

Broad: 8’0

3 Cone: 8.15

20 yard shuttle: 4.91

Bench press: N/A

Crenshaw-Dickson posted one of the lowest athleticism scores at the NFL combine, ranking 25th with a score of 54. Crenshaw-Dickson finished in the bottom three of every agility event and finished last in vertical jump and three cone drill. His production score of 66th ranked 16th among offensive lineman, so a slight improvement in that area. Crenshaw Dickson’s prospect grade of 5.65, which is the lowest among Florida participants, describes him as a ‘candidate for bottom of roster or practice squad.’

LB Shemar James

Height: 6’1

Weight: 222

40 yard dash: 4.69

10 yard split: 1.56

Vertical: 32″

Broad: 9’9″

3 Cone: 7.09

20 yard shuttle: 4.27

Bench Press: N/A

Shemar James’ 40-yard dash of 4.69 seconds was not particularly impressive for an undersized linebacker, ranking 14th out of 16 linebackers at the NFL Combine. However, James ranked 6th in 10-yard split, 2nd in three cone drill, and 3rd in 20 yard shuttle. Overall, James athleticism score of 63 ranked 25th among linebackers. His prospect score of 5.90 describes him as an average backup or special teamer, per Next Gen Stats. James will likely run the 40-yard dash at Florida’s Pro Day in an effort to improve that time.

DT Cam Jackson

Height: 6’6

Weight: 328

40 yard dash: 5.17

10 yard split: 1.81

Vertical: 24.5″

Broad: 7’9

Perhaps the biggest piece of news from Cam Jackson last weekend was his drop in weight. He’s down to 328 pounds after last being recorded at 342, something NFL scouts wanted to see. While Jackson’s athleticism score didn’t fare well due to his massive size, his prospect grade sits at 6.25, the highest among Gators. Next Gen Stats believe Jackson will eventually become an average starter.

CB Jason Marshall

Height: 6’0

Weight: 194

40 yard dash: 4.49

10 yard split: 1.55

Vertical: 37.5″

Broad: 10’5″

Jason Marshall’s 40-yard dash of 4.49 ranked 17th out of 24 cornerback participants. However, Marshall posted the third highest vertical jump and 9th highest broad jump among cornerbacks at the combine. Marshall’s athleticism score of 76 ranked 13th among cornerbacks, but his production score of 56 ranked 33rd. Marshall’s prospect grade of 5.69 describes him as a ‘candidate for bottom of roster or practice squad.’ Marshall is capable of improving his 40-yard dash time and will likely run again at Florida’s Pro Day.

Quarterback Graham Mertz and punter Jeremy Crawshaw did not participate in any events at the NFL Combine.
