Guervil likes the “brotherhood” around the Florida Gators during junior day

On Saturday, the Florida Gators hosted several of the top 2026 prospects from the state of Florida on campus for the first junior day of the year.

2026 defensive lineman Kendall Guervil (6-4, 265, Fort Myers, FL. High) was on campus and enjoyed his time on the visit because of the treatment he received.

“What stands out about Florida is how they treat me,” Guervil said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “They treat me like family, it’s like a brotherhood every time I come here. I’m close with the coaches, everything stands out to me. I’m just really amazed by Florida.”

The thing that stood out the most to Guervil on Saturday was the coaching staff and how they treated him and his family.

“The coaches stood out,” he said on what he liked about his visit on Saturday. “I’m close with Coach [Gerald] Chatman already and he took care of me like I’m family already. Just a lot of love, it gives off family vibes.”

Defensive line coach Gerald Chatman met with Guervil and had a message to him about what the Gators like about his game.

“Coach Chatman, it was just keep working and to keep going,” Guervil said on the message from the coaches. “He knows I’m one of the best players in the country right now and in the state and he’s really proud of me. It was the same message from Coach Billy Napier.”

Guervil is being recruited by a lot of schools and coaches already but he says his best relationship is with the Gators defensive line coach.

“It’s definitely Coach Chatman,” he said on the coach he has the best relationship with out of all the schools recruiting him. “We’re very close.”

After the visit, Guervil says the Gators made a move in his recruitment and now stand high in his recruitment with a few other schools.

“Definitely top five or top four, he said on where Florida stands with him. “Miami, Georgia, Michigan, and USC are up there with Florida.”
