Friday Night Frenzy Preview Week 10: Florida Gators recruiting

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects across the country are starting the high school football season.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks’ games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Receiver Tawaski Abrams (5-11, 175, Fort Myers, FL. Dunbar)

Matchup: Dunbar (6-2) plays host to South Fort Myers on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Abrams has 25 carries for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns and 23 catches for 284 yards, and 3 touchdowns on the season.

Notes: Dunbar is 6-2 on the year.

 

Linebacker Aaron Chiles (6-3, 220, Olney, MD. Our Lady Good Counsel)

Matchup: Our Lady of Good Counsel (6-1) travels to take on Gonzaga on Saturday.

Yearly Stats: Chiles has 34 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble on the year.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
