The Florida Gators had a lot of prospects on campus for junior day on Saturday but helping the coaching staff recruit was several 2020 commits that were on campus.
2020 receiver commit Jaquavion Fraziars (6-3, 194, Dunnellon, FL. High) was on campus and he got to hang out with his future position coach.
“It was real fun, I got to meet a lot of new people,” Fraziars said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I got close with Coach [Billy] Gonzales, that’s my position coach and there was a lot of recruiting going on.”
Receivers coach Billy Gonzales talked with Fraziars about how he sees the receiver fitting into Florida’s offense once he arrives in Gainesville.
“He said that he’s happy to see what happens with me in the future,” he said on Gonzales’ message to him. “He said he can’t wait to see me and Leonard Manuel on the field. He wants us to be interchangeable and be able to play both slot and outside receiver. He wants us to be able to take the top off of defense and be able to read the safeties.”
Fraziars says he believes his relationship with Gonzales is improving a lot as the two just started building that relationship.
“We just recently started talking because at first I was talking to Coach [Christian] Robinson, my area recruiter,” Fraziars said of his relationship with Billy Gonzales. “But now, about two months ago, me and Coach Gonzales got to texting and stuff.”
While on campus on Saturday, Fraziars said he had one main target and message for that prospect when he was talking to him during junior day.
“Gervon [Dexter] was recruiting [Demarkcus] Bowman and I was recruiting Carson Beck,” he said on the guys he was recruiting. “I just say come join the legacy and come win a championship.”
