The Florida Gators started spring practice on Thursday, and this weekend they will host several prospects on campus as they will get to watch the second practice on Saturday.
Billy Napier and his staff picked up a big commitment on Thursday and they hope to continue that momentum this weekend.
Several of the Gators’ top targets will be on campus to see the team in action, but they will also get to meet with the coaching staff.
The following guys are expected to be in town this weekend.
Offensive side of the ball to be well represented
Several targets this weekend will be from the offensive side of the ball, including several top offensive linemen.
Running back Jae Lamar will make the trip down from Georgia as the Gators are chasing the Bulldogs in his recruitment.
Receiver Brody Keefe will make the trip down from North Carolina on Saturday as the Gators look to gain ground with the receiver.
Offensive linemen Charlie Edgeworth will make the trip down from Tennessee on Saturday and this will be his second trip to Gainesville this year.
Offensive linemen Breck Kolojay and Rhys Woodrow will both make the trip up on Saturday as the Gators will take their shot at two in-state linemen.
Offensive lineman Parker Pritchett will make the trip over to Gainesville on Saturday from Georgia.
Defensive side of the ball
With several new names on the defensive side of the ball for the coaching staff, this weekend is big for visitors to meet the new coaches.
Defensive end Jake Kreul will make the trip up from IMG on Saturday as the Gators continue to recruit the Orlando native hard. Kreul is one of the Gators’ top targets in this class.
Miami linebacker commit Jordan Campbell remains solid with the Canes but he continues to visit Florida and he will be back this weekend. Campbell continues to talk with the Gators coaching staff.
Linebacker Malik Morris is one of the top linebackers in the country and he’s scheduled to visit Gainesville on Saturday. The Lakeland native is also looking hard at Alabama, Miami, and Texas A&M.
Defensive back Justice Fitzpatrick is another name that’s expected in town and the St Thomas Aquinas defensive back will get the chance to see practice in person on Saturday.
Florida defensive back commit Devin Jackson will get to meet Vinnie Sunseri on Saturday as the Gators continue to fight off other teams for Jackson.
Michigan defensive back commit Brody Jennings will make the drive over from Jacksonville on Saturday as the Gators continue to chip away at defensive back. This will be a chance for Jennings to meet with new defensive back coach Deron Wilson as well.
