Florida Gators official visitors preview June 7th weekend

The Florida Gators will host their second weekend of official visits this weekend after a successful one last weekend.

Several of the top players in the country will be on campus this weekend as Billy Napier is set to host a lot of top targets on campus.

GatorCountry brings you an official visitors preview for this weekend as we set the table for a big weekend.

Gators going for the flip

One of the biggest targets on the board for the Gators is Florida State offensive line commit Solomon Thomas and he will be on campus this weekend. Thomas is one of the top offensive linemen in the country and the Gators will have their shot with him this weekend. Thomas has been on campus several times this year already.

Auburn defensive line commit Jakaleb Faulk is also scheduled to be on campus this weekend. Faulk knows the campus really well from when he was on campus with his brother who now plays for Auburn. The Tigers are going to be tough to beat but the Gators will give it a go this weekend.

Alabama linebacker commit Myles Johnson is a guy that is underrated and a lot of schools are jumping in the mix for him since the spring. Alabama knows that Johnson is looking hard at other schools and the Gators may be in the best position outside of Alabama.

Offensive targets to visit

Joining Thomas on the offensive side of the ball will be several other targets on the offensive side of the ball. Receiver Caleb Cunningham is considered the top prospect in Mississippi, and he likes the Gators a lot and has been to campus several times already. Cunningham has made it clear that he doesn’t mind leaving the state for college and the Gators and Auburn are two of the schools pushing the hardest.

Receiver Cortez Mills will make the trip up from South Florida this weekend and the Gators are in good shape for him early on. Mills has a great relationship with several coaches at Florida.

Tight end Hollis Davidson will make the trip down from Georgia on Saturday. Davidson is a former Auburn commit who liked the Gators before making that commitment. Florida State is also in the mix for Davidson.

Tight end Andrew Olesh has a great relationship with tight ends coach Russ Callaway and the Pennsylvania native is looking forward to getting to know him better this weekend. Penn State is the early favorite for the tight end but the Gators are hoping to overcome that.

Offensive lineman Micah DeBose will make the trip over from Alabama this weekend and the former Georgia commit is one of the top offensive linemen in the country. LSU looks to be the team to beat right now but the Gators are hoping to gain momentum this weekend.

Offensive lineman John Mills will make the trip from California this weekend and he has made the trip several times already. Mills seems pretty open in his recruitment and the Gators are hoping to surge up Mills board this weekend.

Defensive targets to visit

The offensive side of the ball is well represented but the defensive side of the ball will also have several top guys on campus.

Florida defensive line commit Jalen Wiggins has been solid with the Gators since committing and Florida hopes to keep that momentum up with him this weekend. Florida State is still in the mix here.

Defensive back Trey McNutt will make the trip down from Ohio on Saturday and this will be the second visit for McNutt. Ohio State is the team to beat but defensive backs coach Will Harris will try and get the Gators more buzz this weekend.

Defensive back Ben Hanks Jr will be on campus this weekend as the Gators are playing a little catch up to Miami right now. Hanks is a guy that has real interest in Florida but he needs more time around Will Harris.

Punter to visit

The coaching staff is looking for a punter in the class as Jeremy Crawshaw will graduate after this year and punter Alex Asparuhov plans to be on campus this weekend. Asparuhov hopes to pick up an offer from Florida.
