Offensive side of the ball visitors
Receiver Brian Williams will make the short trip from Lake Mary on Friday as the Gators have picked up the talks with the receiver as of late. Alabama and Notre Dame will get Williams on campus as well but the Gators sit in the best spot right now.
Tight end Heze Kent will make the trip down from Georgia on Friday as the Gators are battling Miami and Florida State. This looks like it’s a battle between the Gators and Canes as Kent has been to Gainesville more than anywhere. The Gators want two tight ends this year and Kent is one of the top targets.
Offensive lineman G’Nivre Carr has been to Gainesville more than any other school as the Ocala native is very familiar with Florida. Tennessee is seen as the Gators biggest competition for the IMG lineman but most feel like the Gators have a leg up over the Vols heading into official visits.
Syracuse offensive line commit Javeion Cooper will be on campus with his family this weekend. Cooper has been on campus several times this spring and has came away impressed every time. Florida is the team to watch if Cooper was to leave the Cuse class.
Offensive lineman Javarii Luckas will make the trip up from South Florida this weekend as the Gators come into the weekend as the leader in his recruitment. Luckas is cousins to former Gators Fred and Kelvin Taylor and that’s something that Luckas admits helps the Gators.
Offensive lineman Blaise Thomassie visited Florida this spring and after the visit picked up an offer from the Gators. Thomassie was very excited about the offer and named Florida his leader as the center grew up a big fan of Florida.
Defensive side of the ball visitors
Defensive lineman Tyson Bacon- The former Tennessee commit has been to Gainesville several times and that has the Gators feeling they have a good shot here. Tennessee remains in the mix here but Florida could be the team to beat.
Defensive end Asharri Charles- Miami is the favorite for Charles but the Gators are hoping to gain some traction in his recruitment with this visit. This is the first time for Charles to visit Gainesville this year.
Defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland- Florida was the leader for Cleveland earlier this spring but it’s now a Florida/Texas battle after Cleveland took a visit to Austin. Cleveland has a great relationship with the coaching staff and this weekend is a chance for Florida to get the momentum back.
Defensive end Corey Howard- Howard picked up offers from Florida and Georgia over the last few weeks and the Gators will get the first chance to impress the Georgia native. Howard is someone the Gators like a lot as an edge rusher.
Defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy- Florida sits in great shape for McCoy heading into this weekend as he named the Gators his top school this spring after visiting Gainesville. The former LSU commit has kept in touch with the Tigers and Texas is also in the mix.
Linebacker DQ Forkpa- Florida heads into this weekend as the leader in his recruitment and Forkpa has built a strong relationship with the staff. Miami, Florida State and Michigan are also in the mix for Forkpa.
Florida State linebacker commit Karon Maycock- Despite being commit to FSU, Maycock says the Gators have a shot with him and new linebackers coach Robert Bala has been recruiting him hard since arriving in town. The Miami Central prospect says he’s looking forward to talking with the staff this weekend.
Louisville defensive back commit Jaydin Broadnax- Broadnax committed to Louisville earlier this year but Florida continued to recruit him and convinced him to take an official visit to Florida and that has the Gators feeling like they have shot here. Broadnax is someone that Billy Napier likes a lot and this weekend the Gators will take their shot with him.
Nebraska defensive back commit CJ Bronaugh- The Orlando native has been to campus several times and the Gators have been gaining steam in his recruitment as of late. Florida and Florida State are the two teams battling to flip him with the Gators likely having the early edge.
Defensive back Kaiden Hall- Hall has talked about Alabama and Florida the most in his recruitment but the Gators have seemed to be the team talked about the most as of late. Hall visited Gainesville this spring and liked the coaching staff at Florida and that has helped the Gators. Official visits will be key for Hall.
Defensive back CJ Hester- Florida is the leader for Hester and have been for a good bit now and he has a great relationship with the coaching staff including corners coach Deron Wilson. Hester is someone to watch closely this weekend.
Defensive back Bralan Womack- Safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri has a strong relationship with Womack and is why the Gators are in the mix here so this weekend is another chance for them to be around each other. Florida however has gain to make up as Ohio State currently holds the lead for him.
