Florida Gators: Friday Night Frenzy Week 4 preview

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are working hard on the field to impress college coaches and also trying to win a state championship.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Also we will give you a few games that involve Florida Gators targets from the Class of 2015 and 2016 to watch as well.

 

 

Linebacker Jerome Baker (6-1, 206, Cleveland, OH Benedictine)

Matchup: Benedictine (2-0) travels to take on Bedford High School on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Baker has 26 carries for 292 yards and four touchdowns this year.

Key Players: Benedictine: Jerome Baker and 2016 WR Justin Layne

 

Offensive Lineman George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods)

Matchup: Winton Woods (2-0) travel to take on Mason High School on Friday.

Yearly Stats: N/A

Key Players: Winton Woods: OL George Brown and DE Rodney Croom

 

Receiver Derrick Dillon (5-11, 175, Franklinton, LA Pine)

Matchup: Pine (1-0) play a home game against Varnado High School on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Dillon has five total touchdowns and has 193 yards rushing this year.

Key Players: Pine: WR Derrick Dillon

 

Offensive lineman Michael Horton 6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside)

Matchup: Lakeside (1-2) travel to take on Campbell high school as they try to snap a two game losing streak.

Yearly Stats: Lakeside’s offense has been struggling as of late behind Horton and the OL.

Key Players: LakesideMichael Horton.

 

Defensive end Andrew Ivie (6-3, 285, Dade City, FL Pasco)

Matchup: Pasco (1-1) travel to take on Wesley Chapel on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Ivie has 11 tackles and one quarterback hurry this year.

Key Players: Pasco: DE Andrew Ivie and 2016 Miami TE commit Bowman Archibald

 

 Tight end Kalif Jackson (6-4, 202, Neptune Beach, FL Fletcher)

Matchup: Fletcher (1-1) travel to take on Sandalwood as they look to snap a losing streak.

Yearly Stats: Jackson has two catches for 29 yards but won’t play this week due to a knee injury.

Key Players: Fletcher- TE Kalif Jackson.

 

Quarterback Sheriron Jones (6-2, 189, Moreno Valley, CA Rancho Verde)

Matchup: Rancho Verde (2-0) travel to take on Great Oak on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Jones is 31-49 for 565 yards and has eight touchdown passes.

Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (6-5, 270, Jacksonville, FL Bishop Kenny)

Matchup: Bishop Kenny (1-0) has a bye week this week.

Yearly Stats: Jordan has two pass hurries this season.

Tight End Camrin Knight (6-4, 220, Tallahassee, FL Lincoln)

Matchup: Lincoln (2-1) have a home game against Sarasota on Friday.

Matchup: Central Gwinnett (1-1) travel to South Gwinnett for a rivalry game on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Thomas has 25 tackles, 3 quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery this year.
