Florida Gators defensive back Dijon Johnson was arrested on multiple charges in his hometown of Tampa, Florida on May 2nd, according to Hillsborough Country Sherrif’s office.
Tampa police department arrested Johnson at 11:20 p.m. eastern on May 2nd with four charges including resisting officer without violence (misdemeanor), possession of cannabis less than 20 grams (misdemeanor), possession of controlled substance (third degree felony), and possession of firearm during commission of felony (second degree felony).
Johnson’s bond was set at $5,000 per judge Palermo. Johnson has since been released.
The 6’1, 197-pound junior cornerback has appeared in 25 games through two seasons at UF, totaling 29 tackles, two tackles for loss, two pass deflections, and one fumble recovery.
