Five LSU Tigers to watch vs Florida in week 12.
WR Kyren Lacy #2
The Tigers have a duo at receiver that have already eclipsed 600+ receiving yards a piece. One of those is senior Kyren Lacy, who leads LSU in receptions (46), yards (697), and touchdowns (7). Lacy ranks 11th in the SEC in explosive play percentage, while LSU’s No.2 receiver Aaron Anderson ranks 9th. Lacy is an exceptional route runner that can threaten defenses in all three levels. The 6’2, 213-pound receiver primarily lines up outside, but will occasionally line up in the slot as a bigger bodied target for his QB.
TE Mason Taylor #86
Mason Taylor, the son of Six-time Pro Bowler Jason Taylor, is in the middle of a breakout year. The 6’5, 255-pound junior tight end is well rounded vertical threat, hauling in 43 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns in 2024. Taylor’s yards after catch percentage of 50.12 ranks 7th in the SEC among all pass catchers, an impressive stat for big bodied tight end. Taylor is a good enough athlete to lineup outside and compete for contested catches, having hauled in seven of 12 contested catches this season. He has improved his hands over the course of his three-year career and is a player to watch on Saturday.
OT Will Campbell #66
LSU has one of the best offensive lines in college football and it’s led by one of the best tackle prospects in the country, Will Campbell, who you can find in the top 10 of most 2025 NFL mock drafts.
Campbell has not allowed a sack this year on 422 pass blocking snaps and has allowed just 12 pressures. Campbell has the ideal size and athleticism you are looking for in an NFL tackle, standing at 6’6, 320 pounds.
I normally don’t include offensive lineman in these lists, but Campbell is one of the top prospects in the country and will serve as a key matchup in this game.
Edge Bradyn Swinson #4
Senior edge rusher Bradyn Swinson has been a monster in pass rush scenarios for the Tigers this year, leading LSU with eight sacks through nine games. He’s also created two forced fumbles and three pass deflections, grading as LSU’s second-best defender, according to Pro Football Focus.
Swinson is winning 30% of his reps in true pass sets, holding the 19th best pressure grade among FBS edge rushers. Swinson, like the rest of LSU’s defensive line, have struggled setting the edge against the run.
CB Zy Alexander #14
LSU’s No.1 graded defender is cornerback Zy Alexander, who missed some time earlier in the season. To date, Alexander has allowed just seven catches for 32 yards on 21 targets, holding opposing QBs to a passer rating of 2.8. He’s totaled two interceptions and two pass break ups in 272 snaps.
