The Florida Gators picked up their 15th commitment from the Class of 2026 on Wednesday night when they picked up a commitment from one of their top targets.
Defensive lineman Kendall Guervil (6-4, 315, Fort Myers, FL. High) committed to the Gators over Texas and others.
“For the next three to four years, I will take my talents to the Unversity of Florida, Go Gators,” Guervil said.
Guervil took an official visit to Gainesville in June and had a great experience during the visit.
“It went great,” Guervil said of his visit to Florida over the weekend. “I had a great experience here; overall, this is a great school, great time catching up with everyone. Being able to spend time here, having a photo shoot with my parents and everyone else.”
While on the visit Guervil was hosted by a fellow defensive lineman who had some advice for the defensive lineman.
“Caleb Banks, he’s a good guy,” he said on his player host. “I’m glad I had him as my host. We were able to chop it up, he gave me some life lessons, tips, and advice about coming here.”
The defensive lineman played in 11 games last fall and combined for 88 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, and a sack.
Guervil joins defensive linemen Ja’Reylan McCoy and Jamir Perez on the defensive line, and the Gators are hoping to add at least two more guys on the defensive line.
