DB J’Vari Flowers commits to the Florida Gators over Notre Dame & Miami

The Florida Gators added a huge commitment on Monday night from a prospect who just reclassified from the 2026 class to the 2025 class.

Defensive back J’Vari Flowers (5-10, 175, Miami, FL. Northwestern) committed to Florida over Notre Dame, Auburn and Miami on Monday.

“For the next three or four years I will be going to the University of Florida,” Flowers said at his commitment ceremony.”

Flowers, who was originally in the 2026 class decided in February to reclassify to the 2025 class took several official visits earlier this year so he could make a decision and enroll in school this summer.

The defensive back who’s considered one of the best in the country had offers from over 30 schools and competed in the Under Armour All-American game earlier this year.

Flowers is the cousin of former USF quarterback Quinton Flowers who played in the NFL and XFL.

On the field, Flowers is known for his aggressive play in both the running and passing game and his speed is something that stands out as well as he’s a state champion in the 100-meter dash.

Flowers joins an impressive defensive back class for Florida that includes Ben Hanks, Drake Stubbs, Lagonza Hayward, and Onis Konanbanny.
