DB CJ Bronaugh commits to the Florida Gators over FSU

The Florida Gators are on absolute tear in recruiting during the month of June and that continued Wednesday when they picked up another commitment.

Defensive back CJ Bronaugh (6-1, 166, Winter Garden, FL. Windermere) committed to the Florida Gators over Florida State just one day after leaving the Nebraska class.

Bronaugh picked up an offer from the Gators earlier this year when defensive backs coach Deron Wilson offered him shortly after taking the job in Gainesville.

The defensive back is one of the Gators top targets at defensive back and Bronaugh has been a frequent visitor to Gainesville.

Not only does Bronaugh possess really good ball skills but his speed is top notch as he won a state championship in the 100 and 200 meter as a sophomore.

As a junior, Bronaugh ran 10.33 in the 100 meters after running a 10.38 during his sophomore year.

On the football field, Bronaugh accounted for six interceptions last year including taking three of them back for touchdowns.

The Gators now have 13 commitments in the Class of 2026 and the first cornerback to commit and just the second defensive back to commit as he joins Kaiden Hall in the class.

Bronaugh is now the 11th commitment during the month of June as the Gators have quickly risen up the recruiting rankings this month.
