He started 23 games over the past two seasons. He led the team with 39 catches for 607 yards and four touchdowns this season. He turned in two 100-yard receiving games, including a career-high 175 yards against South Florida.
However, there were also six games where he caught fewer than three passes, which can partially be attributed to inconsistent quarterback play.
He made 23 receptions for 435 yards and three touchdowns in 2020, with the highlight being a five-catch, 123-yard performance against LSU.
Copeland appeared in all 13 games in 2019 and caught 21 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns. He was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after he led the team with 89 yards and a score against South Carolina.
He appeared in just three games and redshirted in 2018. He’ll have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next school.
Copeland becomes the fifth Gator to enter the transfer portal since the end of the regular season, joining edge rushers Khris Bogle and Lloyd Summerall, defensive end Dante Zanders, and offensive lineman Gerald Mincey.
