Bissainthe excited to receive an offer from the Florida Gators

Last week, the Florida Gators coaching staff sent out several offers to underclassmen in the state of Florida and in particular players on the defensive side of the ball.

2022 linebacker Wesley Bissainthe (6-1, 195, Miami, FL. Central) was one of those to pick up an offer from the coaching staff.

“Coach Christian Robinson offered,” Bissainthe said on which coach from Florida offered him. “He can really see me playing in his defense and he has a lot of experience at my position.”

Bissainthe already has 13 offers but he admits he grew up watching the Gators a lot and was happy to hear from the coaching staff.

“I was very excited about it,” he said on what the offer means to him. “It means a lot especially when you’ve been watching the team play for a long time.”

Linebackers coach Christian Robinson explained to Bissainthe just how the linebacker would fit into what Florida likes to do on defense.

“He said he sees me coming off the edge and covering people,” Bissainthe said on how Robinson sees him fitting into Florida’s defense. “He sees me as an outside linebacker and I think I can help make a big change.”

The linebacker already knows a good bit about the Gators program after Robinson explained to Bissainthe what Florida has to offer both on and off the field.

“I know they’re a great school and are top ten in academics and in football,” he said on what he knows about Florida. “I like how they play sideline to sideline on defense.”

Bissainthe hasn’t visited Gainesville yet but he hopes to change that as soon as the dead period is lifted.

“I want to visit as soon as possible,” Bissainthe said on if he plans to visit Florida. “I just want to explore the campus, I heard it’s nice.”
