Auburn OL commit Tavaris Dice flips to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their 10th commitment in the last 19 days when they flipped an offensive lineman from another SEC school.

Offensive lineman Tavaris Dice (6-4, 295, Fairburn, GA. Langston Hughes) flipped his commitment from Auburn to Florida on Saturday afternoon.

Dice is the third offensive line commit in the class and joins Daniel Pierre Louis and Jahari Medlock, who have both committed since Nov. 19th.

The Georgia native had been committed to Auburn since March but continued to flirt with the Gators and he continued visiting Gainesville despite that commitment.

Florida’s staff had made Dice a priority since the spring and that hard work paid off this past weekend when they were able to get him on campus for the LSU game.

Dice also plays basketball at Langston Hughes and is a guy that can play all five positions on the offensive line but will likely start out at tackle at Florida.

Now that Dice has committed, the Gators have picked up commitments from Tramell Jones, Stephon Shivers, Muizz Tounkara, Bryon Louis, Ty Jackson, Jayden Woods, and Daniel Pierre Louis since the LSU game. Florida currently has 21 commitments in their 2025 class.

The Gators will now turn their attention to Florida State offensive line commit Solomon Thomas, as they look to finish the offensive line class strong.
