The Florida Gators (3-0) played stingy defense to outlast the Kentucky Wildcats 14-9 in the Gators SEC opener. Florida was led by a great pass rush from the Gators defensive line that accumulated in six sacks.
The offense struggled with consistency in production all night long but Florida Gators head football coach Jim McElwain stuck with Will Grier at quarterback. Grier ended the night with 125 yards passing and 61 yards rushing.
