Head coach Jon Sumrall and the Florida Gators hosted over 100 top prospects this weekend during Florida’s huge win over Ole Miss. Gators’ defensive line commit Cahron Wheeler was able to make the trip and shared his thoughts on the Gators earning their second conference win of the season.
“First off, I thought it was very electric. Like, they’ve got to be one of the top teams now,” Wheeler said on what stood out to him. “Florida is looking like they could possibly be back.”
The four-star prospect loved seeing how often this defense rotates players off the edge.
“I was really looking at the defensive ends. Coach White likes to sub the ends a lot, so I loved seeing them get after it,” Wheeler said.
The coaching staff had one simple message for Wheeler after the game: “It’s great to be a Florida Gator.”
Wheeler is currently the No. 120 player in the country and No. 14 player at his position.
The Maryland native will be back in Gainesville when South Carolina makes their trip to the Swamp on October 10th.
