Florida outfielder Kyle Jones was selected with the No. 102 overall pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in the third round of the 2026 MLB Draft on Saturday.
The Gators have had multiple players selected in every draft since 1998.
Serving as Florida’s starting center fielder in 2026, Jones batted .317/.418/.478 across 224 at-bats, the second most on the team. He tied for the team lead in batting average and sacrifice flies (six) while leading Florida in doubles (16), stolen bases (17) and multi-hit games (22).
Jones also hit six home runs and drove in 46 runs while serving as Florida’s leadoff hitter.
In the 2026 NCAA Tournament, Jones earned a spot on the Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team after going 7-for-14 at the plate with nine RBIs and five runs scored.
As a true sophomore, Jones made four starts in center field in his first year in Orange & Blue before being sidelined with season-ending shoulder surgery (granted medical hardship waiver).
Prior to his time in Gainesville, the 6’3, 190 pound outfielder earned 2024 NCBWA Second Team Freshman All-American Honors at Stetson. He slashed .355/.459/.476 with five homers, 32 RBI, 53 runs and 23 stolen bases in 248 at bats.
