OU WR commit Hall enjoyed his first time with the Florida Gators

Last weekend, the Florida Gators hosted several of their top targets including several prospects committed to other schools.

Oklahoma receiver commit Tra’Von Hall (6-0, 180, Tuscaloosa, AL. Central) was on campus for his first ever visit to Gainesville and he enjoyed his time on campus.

“It was great, I spent a lot of time with coaches like Coach [Marcus] Davis and a couple other players,” Hall said of his official visit. “I got to know a lot of people, it was definitely great getting down here for the first time, great facility and a great head coach. I spent a lot of time with Marquez Daniel who was my host, stuff like that.”

Alabama receiver native Marquez Daniel was the player host for Hall and explained to him why he picked Florida.

“He was really just being real,” he said on his time with Daniel. “He was like, I’m not going to force you go anywhere or be mad about it. He said he did the same thing and it was a couple of schools pushing real hard but he was locked in with Florida. He said it’s a great school and that if I want to come here, that I’ll be a good fit for them.”

This trip was about Hall learning more about the Gators program and he got all of his questions answered.

“They answered all the questions I had,” Hall said. “They told me everything I needed to know, showed me how they would use me and all that. They gave me everything I need to hear and think about.”

Hall also learned just how the Gators and receivers coach Marcus Davis would use him on offense in Gainesville.

“They actually showed me like a little slideshow,” he said on how they plan to use him. “Showing me videos and showing me plays of other players like Percy Harvin, saying I look just like him. They said I could definitely come here and play for them. He was saying I would be all around the field, like in the slot, motioning all around the field, so yeah just showing me how I would be moved around.”

The Alabama native is solid with Oklahoma but he knows what it will take for someone to flip him.

“I mean it isn’t really much,” Hall said on what it will take to flip him. “I really just need to see what’s the best fit for me, I’m not a picky type of guy, I really just want to be somewhere I can go and be involved.”

After the visit, Hall says two other schools including the Gators are in the mix for his signature.

“As of right now I’m locked in with Oklahoma,” he said. “Florida is definitely top three with Ole Miss and Oklahoma. Florida is a great school for sure, so we will see how it goes.”
