The Florida Gators picked up their second commitment of the day on Tuesday when out of state defensive back committed to Florida.
Defensive back Kailib Dillard (6-2, 170, Tulsa, OK. Jenks) committed to Florida over Georgia and Oregon on Tuesday afternoon.
”For the next three to four years, I will be attending the University of Florida,” Dillard said
Dillard is a name that hasn’t garnered as much talk because of where he’s from but the safety is someone that the Gators coaching staff really likes.
Head coach Jon Sumrall has taken a direct interest in recruiting Dillard and that relationship is one of the big reasons that the safety picked the Gators over the others.
Dillard not only played defensive back last season, but he also had a big role at receiver as he showed his ball skills as a junior.
In total, Dillard had 78 tackles, five interceptions and a forced fumble on defense and had 1,250 yards receiving on 71 catches and added 15 touchdowns on offense.
Dillard is the 12th commit in the class and he joins defensive backs Amare Nugent and Aamaury Fountain as defensive backs in the class already.
The defensive back is the second commit of the day on Tuesday as he joins offensive lineman Elijah Hutcheson who committed earlier on Tuesday, also Dillard could be apart of a big week of commits for the Gators as several others are announcing with the Gators in contention.
