OL Peyton Miller commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their 10th commitment for the Class of 2027 on Monday and their second commitment of the day

Offensive lineman Peyton Miller (6-5, 290, Anna, TX. High) committed to the Florida Gators over Texas Tech and several others on Monday night.

Miller who’s considered one of the top interior offensive lineman in the country has been a priority for offensive line coach Phil Trautwein since he arrived in Gainesville.

The Texas native had Texas and Texas Tech hard after him and the Red Raiders were thought to be the leader for a time but a visit to Gainesville this spring changed all of that.

Miller is also close with Florida offensive line commit Maxwell Hiller and several of Florida’s other top targets on the offensive lineman.

This spring, Hiller spoke about how Miller and others had talked about all playing at the same school and potentially for Phil Trautwein.

“I mean we’ve had countless conversations about all going to the same school,” Maxwell Hiller said on conversations he had with Miller and others. “Whether it was back down in IMG when we had the Future 50 thing, we were all talking about what school would feel like now that Coach Traut’s here. I mean I think Coach Traut is one of the best if not the best offensive line coaches in the country so I mean just him building his class will be easy for him and I know once one person goes, everybody’s going to pull that trigger.”

Miller is the 10th commitment in the class of 2027 and joins receivers Anthony Jennings and Tramond Collins, tight ends Jackson Ballinger and Tommy Douglas, quarterback Davin Davidson, offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, defensive lineman De’Voun Kendrick and defensive backs Amare Nugent and Aamaury Fountain in the class.
