The Florida Gators completed their first winter workouts under new strength and conditioning coach Rusty Whitt, who was pleased with the team’s response.
“You never know what you’re going to get into with a new team. And the players that were here understand the history of this program and the expectations. So we have really received no pushback. They want to go. They want to do hard things together. So it’s been good so far,” Whitt said.
When asked about early standouts, Whitt mentioned edge Jayden Woods, running back Jayden Baugh, and defensive lineman Brendan Bett.
“Jayden Woods is a mutant. He’s extremely competitive. Whenever you’re talking, he’s looking right in your eyes. He’s a professional, he’s gonna be a professional,” Whitt said. “Mr. Baugh is exceptional. Bett, defensive lineman, is hungry to get better. I can go on down, but my first impression for those three of you guys, they’re dialed in the right way. And they’re bringing their teammates with them.”
