Tulane punter Alec Clark has signed with the Florida Gators, Gator Country confirms. Clark joins kicker Patrick Durkin as specialists to follow head coach Jon Sumrall to Gainesville.
In 2025, Clark posted career-best numbers, averaging 46.5 yards per punt on 48 attempts. He also recorded a career-long punt of 70 yards, solidifying himself as one of the most productive punters in the AAC.
Clark received a punting grade of 84.8 according to Pro Football Focus and landed 18 punts inside the 20-yard line. Clark’s average hang time was 4.11 seconds in 2025.
Clark earned American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week in Tulane’s 31-14 win at Tulsa as he averaged 44.5 yards on eight punts, pinning the Golden Hurricane inside the 11-yard line four times.
The Swan View, Australia native followed special team coordinator Johnathan Galante from Marshall, where Clark punted for two seasons.
In 2024, Clark recorded an average of 42.4 yards on 55 punts with the Thundering Herd. As a true freshman in 2023, Clark punted seven times for an average of 40.3 yards.
Clark has improved every season under Galante, who is now the special teams coordinator in Gainesville.
The 6’1, 184 pound punter will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
