The Florida Gators hosted transfers on campus this weekend as Jon Sumrall and his coaching staff looks to rebuild a roster in Gainesville.
Baylor defensive back transfer DJ Coleman (6-1, 203) was on campus this weekend and announced he’s transferring to Florida after the visit.
Coleman who was regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the portal is a safety who can also move around if needed in the secondary.
Last year Coleman had 30 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble while starting all of the Bears game.
Coleman has one year remaining now that he’s transferring to Gainesville and he provides experience and depth for the Gators.
Coleman had multiple other visits set but has cancelled them.
