OF Blake Cyr
Playing for the Brewster Whitecaps in the Cape Cod Summer League, Florida outfielder Blake Cyr is 12-39 (.308) at the plate with one home run, four doubles, five RBI, and eight runs scored. Cyr is playing left field for the Whitecaps where he has thrown out multiple runners at the plate attempting to score. Cyr’s average is up from his .254 mark with the Gators last season but he’s still struggling to reach base holding just a .357 OBS. Cyr’s slugging percentage is up from the 2025 season, jumping from .429 to .487.
RHP Luke McNeillie
Florida’s RHP Luke McNeillie has made two appearances with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League this summer, allowing just one earned run in seven innings pitched, which equates to a 1.29 ERA. McNeillie has allowed three hits and two walks for an impressive WHIP of .714. McNeillie has struck out eight batters.
RHP Christian Rodriguez
Joining McNeillie on the Harwich Mariners, RHP Christian Rodriguez has thrown 7.1 scoreless innings across three appearances. Rodriguez has allowed three hits and four walks while striking out eight batters. After missing all of his true freshman season with an injury, Rodriguez showed glimpses of promise in 2025 after striking out 31 batters in 23.2 innings pitched.
RHP / INF Caden McDonald
Florida’s two-way player Caden McDonald is pitching and hitting this summer for the Warham Gateman of the Cape Cod League. In 3.2 innings pitched, McDonald holds a 9.82 ERA, allowing four runs, nine hits, and one walk while striking out three batters. Offensively, McDonald is 3 for 14 (.217) at the plate with one home run and three RBI. McDonald has walked six times in 21 plate appearances, holding an on base percentage of .476.
INF Landon Stripling
Joining McDonald on the Warham Gateman, Stripling is hitting .217 with five hits and one double in 23 at bats. Stripling will be a junior next season.
OF Hayden Yost
The last Gator on Warham Gateman is outfielder Hayden Yost, who is 9 for 40 (.225) at the plate with one home run, one double, two RBI, and six runs scored. Yost has three walks and a stolen base.
INF Kolt Myers
After redshirting in 2025, infielder Kolt Myers got a head start on summer ball with the Macon Bacon of the Coastal Plain League. Myers is 7 for 25 (.280) at the plate with six RBI, five runs, six walks, and two stolen bases. Myers on base percentage is .419 in eight games played.
RHP Schuyler Sandford
RHP Schuyler Sandford was one of Florida’s top pitching prospects before missing all of the 2025 season due to an injury. Sandford is back in action with the Macon Bacon of the Coastal Plain League. In nine innings pitched this summer, Sandford holds a 9.00 ERA with 11 strikeouts and eight walks. In a recent outing, Sandford struck out seven batters in 3.2 innings pitched, allowing one hit, one walk, and one HBP. Sandford stands at 6’6 with an electric fastball and is certainly a player to track this offseason and into 2026.
Catcher AJ Malzone
Florida added JUCO catcher AJ Malzone, who is playing summer ball with the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League. Malzone is hitting .288 with one home run, one double, and seven RBI across 52 plate appearances. Malzone has walked seven times and holds an OBP of .387. Defensively, Malzone has caught two runners stealing on 11 attempts and has not made an error behind the plate.
RHP Aidan King and RHP Liam Peterson
Florida’s 1-2 punch going into next season recently made their first appearances with the USA Collegiate National Team. It wasn’t a great start for either pitcher as the duo went head-to-head on Sunday. King tossed 2.0 innings in a start for team Stripes, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk. King struck out three batters. Peterson made the start for team Stars, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk in 2.0 innings pitched. Peterson struck out one batter.
LHP McCall Biemiller
Pitching for the Charlottesville Tom Sox of the Valley League, LHP McCall Biemiller has thrown 2.1 scoreless innings while striking out four batters. Biemiller has not walked a batter. Biemiller posted a 5.93 ERA across his true freshman season last year.
OF Blake Brookins
Playing for the Purcellville Cannons in the Valley League, Brookins holds a .240 batting average with one double and two RBI. Brookins has struck out just six times in 31 plate appearances while logging five walks.
