One of the Florida Gators’ top targets on the defensive side of the ball was on campus this past weekend for his official visit.
Defensive lineman Kendall Guervil (6-4, 315, Fort Myers, FL. High) was on campus and enjoyed having his family with him this time.
“It went great,” Guervil said of his visit to Florida over the weekend. “I had a great experience here; overall, this is a great school, great time catching up with everyone. Being able to spend time here, having a photo shoot with my parents and everyone else.”
The defensive lineman enjoyed being around his player host who knows what Guervil is going through.
“Caleb Banks, he’s a good guy,” he said on his player host. “I’m glad I had him as my host. We were able to chop it up, he gave me some life lessons, tips, and advice about coming here.”
This was the first time for Guervil’s parents to be in Gainesville and the meeting with Billy Napier was a big one.
“Oh yeah, really getting to talk to Coach Billy,” Guervil said on the meeting that stood out to him. “You know, I brought my parents up here for the first time, he was really excited about that.”
Heading into the visit, Guervil had Texas as his leader, and he says that’s still the same but he has several months to go before a decision will come.
“Yeah,” he said when asked if Texas is still on top for him. “The list is still the same. I’m definitely going to make my decision in probably like December.”
The good news for Florida is that the Gators will be able to get Guervil back on campus again in hopes to get the momentum back.
“Oh yeah,” Guervil said on if he plans to visit Florida this fall. “I’m definitely going to show up to some games, a few games.”
