OL Tyler Chukuyem commits to the Florida Gators over FSU & Ole Miss

The Florida Gators picked up their second commitment of the day on Monday and their second offensive lineman after an out-of-state prospect committed.

Offensive lineman Tyler Chukuyem (6-6, 290, Douglasville, GA., Paulding County) committed to the Florida Gators over Florida State and Ole Miss just one day after visiting Gainesville.

Chukuyem was on campus for his official visit to Florida over the weekend, and several things stood out to him and helped the Gators land him.

“Well for me personally, the food, I love the food,” he said on the highlights of the visit. “That was a good highlight but then learning about the education because they’re like a highly ranked public school that was very informative. Then just knowing how they run their operation here with football and whatnot. That was also very informative.”

While on campus, Chukuyem had the opportunity to meet with Rob Sale and Jonathan Decoster, who explained to him how he would be utilized on the field.

“They see me coming in as a tackle with my agility and athleticism,” Chukuyem said. “They’re going to have me on the board as a tackle, and they’re going to continue to develop me.”

Chukuyem joins offensive linemen G’Nivre Carr, Chancellor Campbell, and Javarii Luckas as members of the Class of 2026, and the Gators could look to add one more tackle to the class.

Overall, Chukuyem is the 12th commitment in the class and the 10th commit of June for Billy Napier and his staff.
