Morgan says the Florida Gators’ coaching staff impressed him during his OV

This weekend, the Florida Gators hosted one of the best prospects in the nation, a receiver from Alabama.

Receiver Cederian Morgan (6-4, 220, Alexander City, AL., Benjamin Russell) was on campus and liked how detailed the coaching staff was with him.

“The OC Coach Russ [Callway] and you know Coach G [Billy Gonzales], just showing me how I’m going to be used in the offense,” Morgan said on what stood out to him during the visit. “Basically, he had like a whole plan for me, life if I decide to come here from what I’d being doing in January to the end of the season.”

Receivers coach Billy Gonzales showed Morgan film of several receivers that he compares him to, but the Gators know that Morgan has some different traits as them.

“Coach G, he showed me about five or six receivers that can be similar to me in our playstyle,” he said on if Gonzales compared him to anyone. “He said the one thing that separates me from them is you know I’m big, my speed and my explosiveness.”

Gonzales had a detailed plan for Morgan this weekend and explained to him how his offseason would look if he came to Florida.

“He showed that I’m a really big priority because he took time out of his day to really sit there and make a whole breakdown for me,” Morgan said of meeting with Gonzales. “He showed me in January, I’m going to learn the plays, in February I’m going to do skill work every month, so I really took pride in that.”

Florida came into this weekend feeling like they had a decent shot with Morgan and the receiver says the Gators made a move for him this weekend.

“Definitely one or two, you know I really like Florida,” he said on where Florida stands for him now. “The people, I enjoy being here. Every time I come, I have an even better time but people, I really feel like if I come here that they will take care of me like my family does.”

Morgan still has three more visits left as he will visit Alabama, Auburn and Miami and those visits could change up his recruitment.

“I don’t know, it keeps changing,” Morgan said on who’s up there with Florida. “I’ve still got to go to Auburn and Alabama, and I really like Colorado. Everyone is fighting and everybody is doing a pretty good job of trying to get me.”

After visits are over, Morgan says he plans to make a commitment and he says it will come down to one thing in particular.

“I think July 2nd, I’ll be making my decision,” he said. “It’s coming to down to the people, because you know they were telling me that’s all I’m going to have at school.”
