The Florida Gators are set to host another strong group of official visitors this weekend on campus.
Billy Napier and the coaching staff picked up two commitments from last weekend’s visitors and they hope to build on that momentum this weekend.
GatorCountry brings you a preview of this weekend’s official visitors here.
Offensive talent to visit Florida
Receiver Cederian Morgan- Florida is chasing Alabama heading into this weekend but the Gators are the team behind the Tide at this time. Morgan has a good relationship with Chad Lucas and that’s helping the Gators out but Florida needs a big visit.
Florida State receiver commit Darryon Williams- If Williams flips from FSU then the Gators are the team to watch. Florida heads into this weekend with some momentum for Williams but the receiver has been committed to the Noles for awhile now and that’s something the Gators will have to overcome.
Receiver Somourian Wingo- Florida and Miami are battling for Wingo heading into the visit and the receiver was Miami last weekend so the Gators will get the last visit of the two. Billy Gonzales has felt good about Wingo for sometime now and the Gators would love to close this one out this weekend.
Tight end Kekua Aumua- Florida has in great shape for Aumua heading into this weekend and this weekend is big for his family who will be with him. Aumua has also talked about North Carolina but the Gators seem to be the team to beat right now.
Tight end Lincoln Watkins- The Michigan native will be on campus this weekend and wants to spend more time with Russ Callaway as the Gators continue to push for two tight ends in this class. Nebraska is the other school battling for Watkins heading into the visit.
Offensive line commit Chancellor Campbell- Campbell has the Florida Gators out in front heading into the visit. Ohio State and Penn State will get visits after Florida but the Gators are looking to close this recruitment down this weekend.
Defensive prospects to visit
Defensive lineman Preston Carey- Carey has a commitment date set for June 30th and the New York native has several schools in the mix. Rutgers, Alabama, Georgia and Penn State are all in the mix with the Gators.
Defensive end KJ Ford- Ford will make the trip over from Texas on Friday as the Gators hope to get some momentum with him. Texas A&M seems to be the early leader here but Ford remains very open to other schools.
Auburn defensive end commit Hezekiah Harris- The Huntsville native has been solid to Auburn and his brother is on the team, but Florida and Tennessee remain in the mix. Right now it’s going to be tough to flip Harris with all of his ties to the Tigers but Florida has built a solid relationship with the lineman.
Defensive end Jake Kreul- Kreul has said in the past that he grew up rooting for the Gators and that has the Gators in the mix. Kreul plans to take his time with his recruitment and several schools including Oklahoma are in the mix here.
Michigan defensive back commit Brody Jennings will be on campus this weekend as the Gators continue to chip away at the Wolverine commit. Jennings has said in the past that the Gators are the team behind Michigan but the Gators are hoping to make a move this weekend with the Jacksonville native.
