Houston loved the energy inside the Swamp for the Orange and Blue game

On Saturday, several players from around the southeast were in Gainesville to watch the Orange and Blue game as the Florida Gators finished up spring football.

Offensive lineman Graham Houston (6-5, 305, Buford, GA. High) was one of those guys on campus and enjoyed seeing the Swamp with fans in it.

“I loved to see the energy in the stadium and stuff,” Houston said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “There’s 60,000 people there so that was my first time in the stadium with the crowd, so it was pretty fun. It was good to see all the players and what they worked on during the spring with Coach [Rob] Sale and stuff. It was a good visit.”

One of the highlights of the visit for Houston was getting to sit down and talk ball with head coach Billy Napier.

“Probably just getting to talk with Coach Napier,” he said on the highlight of the trip. “Building my relationship with the coaches and stuff. That was definitely a big takeaway, but I loved watching the game and stuff.”

Napier explained to Houston what the Gators’ like about his game and how he could fit into the program.

“You know just still building a relationship with him,” Houston said of his talks with Napier. “He sees me as a really good football player, and I respect him a lot. I think he’s a really good football coach. He feels like I can play anything but I’m willing to do whatever helps the team.”

After the visit, Houston says his top four schools are still the same and that all of them have built a good relationship with him.

“Top four [Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Ole Miss],” he said of schools standing out. “They’re all pretty good, all the relationships are pretty good. Like I told them, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t want to think of myself coming here you know. All those top four, I have a really good relationship with them.”

Next up for Houston will be official visits and that starts with one to another SEC school.

“This is my last spring visit,” Houston said of what’s next for him. “My next visit will be my official visit to Ole Miss, Florida is going to be my third official visit.”
