DL Joseph Mbatchou flips to the Florida Gators from Texas

The Florida Gators picked up their 22nd commitment of the Class of 2025 on Sunday when they flipped a SEC commit after he was on campus.

Defensive lineman Joseph Mbatchou (6-4, 275, Loganville, GA. Grayson) flipped his commitment back to Florida after committing to the Longhorns just last week.

“Go Gators,” Mbatchou said on Twitter.

Mbatchou who was once committed to Florida left the class earlier this fall and then committed to Texas last week while on a visit to Austin but he was back in Gainesville on Sunday.

The Georgia native is one of the top defensive lineman in the country and has a very high ceiling as he just started playing football once he moved to the States from Cameroon.

Mbatchou who is in his first year of football, also plays basketball as he’s a very athletic 275-pound player.

Now that Mbatchou has flipped to Florida, he joins Jalen Wiggins, Jeramiah McCloud, Jayden Woods, and Stephon Shivers as members of the class on the defensive line.
