DL Stephon Shivers commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their 14th commitment of the Class of 2025 on Sunday afternoon following an official visit to Gainesville.

Defensive lineman Stephon Shivers (6-4, 365, Brentwood, TN. Academy) committed to the Florida Gators on Sunday following an official visit.

“Gator Nation it’s our time,” Shivers wrote on social media.

Shivers decommitted from Georgia last week after being committed to the Bulldogs for eight months.

Defensive line coach Gerald Chatman has been recruiting Shivers hard for over a year now and turned up the heat on the Tennessee native in recent months.

Shivers who is a two-sport athlete at Brentwood Academy also plays basketball where he has scored over a thousand points on the hardwood.

Chatman has been high on Shivers and his ability to not only be a force in the running game but his ability to get after the quarterback in passing situations.

Shivers is a big addition to the class as he joins defensive linemen Jeramiah McCloud and Jalen Wiggins in the class on the line as the Gators are looking to add more depth at the position this offseason.
