Florida Gators pull off the upset of the LSU Tigers 27-16

The Florida Gators (5-5, 3-4) defeated the LSU Tigers (6-4, 3-3) in the Swamp on Saturday afternoon 27-16.

Florida’s defense had seven sacks in the game as they dialed up the pressure all game long as shut down the LSU offense for most of the game.

The Gators’ offense had some missed opportunities but when the game was on the line, quarterback DJ Lagway and running back Jadan Baugh both contributed on big plays.

 

FIRST QUARTER:

Florida 7, LSU 0- 23-yard passing touchdown from DJ Lagway to Elijah Badger with 7:12 to go.

Scoring Drive: 5 plays for 80 yards, 2:00 time of possession.

 

SECOND QUARTER:

Florida 7, LSU 7- 28-yard passing touchdown from Garrett Nussmeier to Aaron Anderson with 7:39 to go.

Scoring Drive: 14 plays for 84 yards, 5:51 time of possession.

Florida 10, LSU 7- 49-yard field goal by Trey Smack is good with 3:27 to go.
